The Temple Guardian of no less than 5.5 meters high is also called Thephanom and refers to an angel or deity who is both a temple guardian and guardian. They are often represented as a pair, kneeling on both knees with hands in wai position, praying or saluting respectfully. The Thepanom first came to Earth when Buddha attained enlightenment. They became Buddha's protector and guardian of religious temples.
